Which is a better credential for getting into mba programs, a masters in econ or chinese as a third language?

I want to study more part-time at one of the local public universities in New York City while I work and get ready to apply to business schools in a few years and I am interested in learning Chinese or going for a Masters degree in Economics. I need to choose one or the other and I am genuinely interested in both but I was wondering which would be a better credential for getting into Business school. Any thoughts?
