Definitely look for an internship in the for profit sector (even if your heart is in the non-profit space) - getting that experience will be important and make you seem more valuable to the non-profit folks (most of the execs of non-profits got started in the for profit sector anyway). A few other tips - learn how to use Excel really well (get the excel for dummies workbook - it has exercises ready to go). Also, understanding the accounting in those other classes is also pretty huge - anyone looking to enter any form of business (especially the non-accountants) can really benefit from understanding how a balance sheet and p&l work.
