Starting an export/import business advice?

I'm a college student majoring in PR and I currently don't see many opportunities after graduation so I'm considering starting a small business, in particular an export/import business. What skills do I need to have and how much money to start? I took economics last semester and got an A although that was an entry level class and it was pretty easy. How much econ knowledge do I need? I don't know any accounting or bookkeeping yet but is that something I could learn from a book or two rather than having to take classes? Also, what legal structure would you advise, an LLC or a sole proprietorship?
